Greetings,

I just finished installing 4.3-RELEASE on my IBM Thinkpad whose
partitions look like this:

Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Avail Capacity Mounted on
/dev/ad0s2a 8711619 1720740 6293950 21% /
procfs 4 4 0 100% /proc

During installation, I chose "softupdates" for my / partition. It now
seems as if file manipulation operations are slower than they should
be. Is this my imagination, or has softupdates slowed things down?
Should I disable softupdates with tunefs?

Regards,
Graham
