check /etc/rc, search for sshd_enable: if it's set as "YES", it
will echo "sshd" on the prompt if the file $sshd_program or the
file /usr/sbin/sshd is executable.

If all seems fine, add some echo's to it (=/etc/rc) and you'll see
how the program goes.
