Besides,
net.inet.ip.intr_queue_maxlen: Maximum size of the IP input queue
but the drops have been occurring on the _output_.
I'll see in about 10 minutes if it's true or not.

I've also set up kern.hz=2000 in loader.conf the effects of which will 
be seen in an hour or so, when I'm permitted to reboot the box.
