With great difficulty. :-(

I usually just do incremental backups, but occaisionally I need to do a
level 1 or 2 which overflows the tape. Then I step in and manually back
up relevant pieces, or decide I really don't _need_ do backup the obj
subtree or suchlike. That is the only real pain. Doesn't happen often
though.
