Hi,

One of my FreeBSD 4.2 (or it might have been a 4.4) servers had a Panic
with a Root Filestystem error. Now when it boots, it just comes up to a
'mountroot>' prompt, and I can't work out what to do next, and I havnt
found any documentation online on this problem.

Can anyone advise me on what has happened, and how to proceed to rectify
the issue?

(typical that it happens at 4pm on a Friday)

Cheers,
