Mine was 1.00.08 or something like that.  I upgraded to
1.02.1.  The versions numbers between the WAP54G and the
WRT54G are not the same.  I mistakenly downloaded the firmware
update for the WAP54G and recall it did not have the same
number as the update to the WRT54G.  Fortunately, when I
tried to upgrade the firmware in the WRT54G with the
[wrong] firmware update to the WAP54G, the router
wouldn't let me :-)

Linksys says that the latest firmware for the WAP54G is 1.06
