Both commands work fine with no terminal problems.

This is when connected to the machine via SSH from an Android 4.0.3 device
running ConnectBot.

$ uname -a
FreeBSD nas 9.0-STABLE FreeBSD 9.0-STABLE #11 r233966: Sat Apr  7 13:09:45
CST 2012   root@nas:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC  amd64
