Subject: Problems with Triton PCI based boards

I just got Mylex (rev3) and Bioteq (rev2) Triton based PCI Pentium
motherboards, and tried installing FreeBSD 2.0.5 SNAP 950622 on them.

Neither works very well. Is FreeBSD known to work on Triton based
motherboards?

On the Bioteq board the boot floppy dies saying something along the
lines of:

Uncompresing kernel...
booting kernelel... <- yep twice and hangs forever
booting kernelel...

The Mylex board installs and runs a bit. However, cc always
exits with a sig 10 or 11, and many other processes sig 10 or 11
over time.

The Bioteq:
   P75 16MB RAM
   Adaptec 1542CF Controller
   Standard VGA
   NE2000 Ethernet

The Mylex:
   P90 16MB RAM
   Adaptec 2940W Controller
   Dec 21040 PCI Ethernet
   Matrox PCI VGA

The MBs have EIDE (turned off), extended parallel, floppy,
2 16550A uarts on the motherboard.

The peripherals in the Mylex system all work fine in another PCI based
machine running FreeBSD.
