Hello, I hope this is the right list for my problem. I recently installed FreeBSD 5.1-RELEASE on HP DL380 G3. The problem is that that FreeBSD not probing/recognizing my external = Compaq AIT 35 SCSI tape connected to the SCSI port located on the back of the server (built-in = SCSI LVD).=20 When the computer starting up, I can see the BIOS message that the tape = is recognized, but when FreeBSD started - nothing. Running camcontrol : mail# camcontrol devlist -v scbus0 on ciss0 bus 0: <COMPAQ RAID 1 VOLUME OK> at scbus0 target 0 lun 0 (pass0,da0) <COMPAQ RAID 5 VOLUME OK> at scbus0 target 1 lun 0 (pass1,da1) scbus-1 on xpt0 bus 0: < > at scbus-1 target -1 lun -1 (xpt0) The same results even after running camcontrol rescan all. Changing SCSI id doesn't help. The tape is fine - running on another = machine without any problem. Any help? I'm attaching dmesg and kernel conf.
