Subject:   Local Package Initialization question.

My box is hanging on Local package initialization.  (I'm at the console so i can ^C it).

Is there a way to setup a max time allowed for local package initialization?  That way if I'm remote it won't freeze by accident.
(btw, I'm working on seeing what package is halting the process)
