My orinoco gold works like a champ and has better signal than any
cheapo netgear, d-link, or linksys that I have run across.

I've seen a d-link 650 lose contact with an AP that is less than 15 feet
away, and suffer performance-wise in conditions where my orinoco has not
skipped a beat.

I've heard that the cisco aironet cards have even higher output.
