>Description:
I'm running Xorg 1.7.5 on FreeBSD 8.1-STABLE.
On my old Sony Vaio, version 1.2.4 of the neomagic driver produces nothing
but a black screen.

It fails exactly as described in this debian bug report:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=567619

I installed version 1.2.5 of the neomagic driver and confirmed that it
solves the problem.

Use version 1.2.5 of the neomagic driver.
