Hi Peter, I looked at your email and thought it was strange the the dell server wouldn't see mfi. I thought I would give one of our servers a whirl and try both 6.2-RELEASE (amd64) and 6.3-RELEASE (amd64). I used amd64 for this install because the server has 16GB of memory. Perhaps you can send a dmesg so we can compare? The dmesg you see below on both installs was done out of the box without anything done to kernel or any other files on the same 2680 server.
