Hello,

Take a look at the FreeBSD handbook, on the website or in
/usr/share/doc/handbook if you installed the docs distrib.

You'll find something called the "Pendantic PPP Primer."  That's where
you want to start.

This sort of general question is probably better asked over in
freebsd-questions.
