Was able to get a null modem cable from work in order to capture the boot messages in some orderly fashion (is there an easier way to do it?) Working with 4.4-RELEASE cd (although floppies made from snapshots on 10/9, 10/10, 10/11, and 10/13 behave the same), here are the boot messages. Is there anything that's obviously not going to work here? (I'm a bit of a newbie). Open to tests and all that good stuff... (Again, I've attempted the hw.pcic.intr_path="1"/"2", hw.pcic.irq="0", machdep.pccard.irq="0" (I think that was it), and no changes) BTW, I have also attempted to change the pcmcia base memory (I believe it's 0xd00000 by default? to 0xd80000), also no change. boot -v: ---------------------- avail memory = 122343424 (119476K bytes) bios32: Found BIOS32 Service Directory header at 0xc00f66c0 bios32: Entry = 0xfd890 (c00fd890) Rev = 0 Len = 1 pcibios: PCI BIOS entry at 0x13a pnpbios: Found PnP BIOS data at 0xc00f6710 pnpbios: Entry = f0000:a1e6 Rev = 1.0 Other BIOS signatures found: ACPI: 000f66f0 Preloaded elf kernel "kernel" at 0xc0697000.
