Or alternatively: get over it. DEC never intended to install any OS on an
Alpha from floppy. In the dim dark past of Alpha a decision was made 
to use CDROMs for that. 

As long as a miniiso (or maybe a microiso if you wanted to optimise it
further) is available why bother with floppies?
