Yes.

I've seen serious VM corruption problems with NFS for over three months 
now.  I've reported them several times as well, and some of them *do*
involve hangs on the client.

The servers in our case are FreeBSD also, all running 2.2

The most common manifestation is a "du" across large volumes of disk space
which are NFS mounted.  It will hang a significant portion of the time.
