I have seen a lot of such messages on my very basic SoundBlaster 16 equipped
machine. It seems that they occur even when the machine is not palaying any
sound and completely fill the /var/log/message. I am going to edit
/sys/dev/sound/pcm/channel.c and remove device_printf(c->parent->dev, "hwptr
went back..).
This being said there is necessarily something very wrong here.
