Here it is:
When configuring my kernel with the option
HZ = 1000
instead of
HZ = 100
, the following lines in uipc_socket.c lead to a systematic error.

   error = sooptcopyin(sopt, &tv, sizeof tv,
         sizeof tv);
   if (error)
    goto bad;

   if (tv.tv_sec > SHRT_MAX / hz - hz) {
    error = EDOM;
    goto bad;
   }

Would you please chagne your heuristic, so as to change to 1000Hz?
