Hi Guys, I have several 3Com 3c905C-TX Fast Etherlink XL NIC's but they work very bad with 7.0 and 6.2. The problem appears when I have more than 50 Mb through the network interface. Then the card restarts maybe the driver restart it I am not sure. dmesg shows me something like: xl0: transmission error: 90 xl0: tx underrun, increasing tx start threshold to 120 bytes xl0: link state changed to DOWN xl0: link state changed to UP xl0: link state changed to DOWN xl0: link state changed to UP xl0: link state changed to DOWN xl0: link state changed to UP xl0: link state changed to DOWN xl0: link state changed to UP xl0: watchdog timeout xl0: link state changed to DOWN xl0: link state changed to UP What do you think maybe this NIC is buggy or I have to change something? dmesg - xl0: <3Com 3c905C-TX Fast Etherlink XL> port 0xec00-0xec7f mem 0xe7000000-0xe700 007f irq 10 at device 12.0 on pci0 uname -a - FreeBSD free.bsd-bg.net 7.0-BETA1 FreeBSD 7.0-BETA1 #0: Fri Oct 26 00:24:20 EEST 2007 root@free.bsd-bg.net:/mnt/ad0s1/system/obj/mnt/ad0s1/system/src/sys/MOON_7 i386 P.S. I've seen the same with all my cards and xl driver. Thanks in advance -- Best Regards eng. Anatoli Marinov
