Hello,
Can someone tell me why cron is sending me such messages:

To: root
Subject: Cron <root@mandela> root       /etc/periodic/other/script.pl
X-Cron-Env: <SHELL=/bin/sh>
X-Cron-Env: <PATH=/etc:/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin>
X-Cron-Env: <HOME=/root>
X-Cron-Env: <LOGNAME=root>
X-Cron-Env: <USER=root>

root: not found

where script.pl is a trivial perl script like:
---
#!/usr/bin/perl
print "hello";
---

TIA,

Eugene Sevinian
