I have an new Asus m2v motherboard and I have sound working with the snd_= hda driver. The manual reports ALC660 as audio codec, but I didn't find it in snd_hda= (4) man page and dmesg report it as "Unknown". I hope this "success report" could be useful... Feel free to ask any other info or test you need. Thanks for the GREAT work!
