I am working on a project using FreeBSD 3.2 (part of the requirements). As part of this project I would like to add a field to the mbuf header to store some information. I have added the field, however I get an occasional core when trying to free an mbuf. It appears that the next field is getting overwritten with some garbage and a free, etc that tries to access this field is coring. I noticed that in FreeBSD 4.X this some fields were added to the mbuf header.
