We *know* that the FreeBSD build system has bugs which make this not "just
work" - you're already doing work on src/Makefile, *.mk and so on, and that's
certainly necessary.  However, the point we're trying to put across is that
it shouldn't be necessary to modify/break current behaviour of make(1) to do
it.
