Subject: Driver allocation problem with PCCARD 3COM Etherlink III 3C589

Hi,

I'm having a problem getting the above setup to work. I have turned
on pccardd in rc.conf, stripped pccard.conf down to just that entry,
and recompiled the ep0 driver with the standard settings from the LINT
configuration.

pccardd notices when the card gets inserted, and finds the config
entry in pccard.conf, but then says

cardd: driver allocation failed for 3Com Corporation

I'm somewhat confused by the fact that the kernel config entry for the
PCMCIA Etherlink is zp0, not ep0. But with the zp0 driver, the same
problem persists.

Any help would be much appreciated.

(Oh, this is 2.2.2-RELEASE.)
