This should be expanded to talk about the management utilities that are available for FreeBSD (3ware, adaptec?), and the features that they support. This information is necessary so that users get a complete picture of the state of hardware / software RAID, so comparisons can be made with Vinum and CCD, and tradeoffs are made apparent.
