If someone doesn't suggest a better way, what I've been doing is to
Change the path of sendmail and the path in /etc/rc to maybe
/usr/local/sbin/sendmail
the same with your sendmail wrapper for qmail.  That also goes for
programs like BIND-8.1.1
etc:-)
