I read tpb website and says its for Thinkpads only, but there I got an info that could lead to solve a issue with brigthness. I changed somethings in the acpi_asus.c and got to change the brightness by hand (sysctl way), and now I'll see how far this hint (tpb) can take me :) thanks matheus -- We will call you cygnus, The God of balance you shall be
