Several generations of kernels: 2-1-0-RELEASE boot floppy,
960501-SNAP boot floppy, custom kernel from 0501-SNAP sources.
DOS finds/accesses both IDE channels, one controller/drive each,
successfully, yet all FreeBSD's say "wdc1 not found at 0x170"
This symptom occurs on multiple hosts. We tired 486dx2-80 VLB,
AMD 586dx2-133 VLB, Pentium 133 PCI with identical results.

advise much appreciated.

best regards/bob
