  This may be completely normal for your system.  inetd calls fork() to
make a new process when it gets a new connection, then execs the server.  
In between the fork() and the exec() the new child will appear as "inetd".

  inetd provides some internal services (see manpage).  If you are using
these services, there may be some inetd children handling them as well.
