man slattach

Connect the null modem cable and run

slattach -h -l -s 57600 /dev/cuaaX

Adjust baudrate and device to taste.  

Then config network interface sl0 as needed.  I suggest using 192.168.0.1
for the local side and 192.168.0.2 as the remote with netmask
255.255.255.0.

What kind of device is this, anyway?
