Subject: Is it safe to remove ldconfig_compat from 6.1RC1 ??

In this morning's cvsup run, I found:

# portversion -v -l "<"
ldconfig_compat-1.0_6 < needs updating (port has 1.0_7)

And when I tried to upgrade it, I got:

# portupgrade ldconfig_compat
** Port marked as IGNORE: misc/ldconfig_compat:
isn't needed (part of base rc.d)

I'd like to confirm that it is safe to remove this port, and let the base
system handle this functionality.

Thanks,
David
