I think it would be a good idea to check if you can rip the problematic CD on windows or linux using the same hardware. I've had trouble with cdroms while running FreeBSD since 4.6. Its gotten better but I find it a bit iffy. When I had trouble ripping I just used a different OS for it. Corey
