The following reply was made to PR bin/22965; it has been noted by GNATS. Well, back then I was trying to compile just libc without doing a buildworld, because I didn't have the time to do a buildworld last week (for various reasons I won't go into here...). I couldn't figure out a good trick for that. I did do a buildworld Monday night, with this revised update included, and it compiled OK and I haven't had any problems with it. Should I commit the change to current now? Or should I, uh, do something else with it?
