:by tweaking your XF86Config.  In particular, make sure this isn't there:

:      Option "omit xfree86-dga"

That was there.  I've commented it out, but DGA is still not loading.
It's not a huge deal, I was originally just giving you another data point.

I plan on going to XFree86 4.1.0 soon, I'll see if I have working DGA
after that.  The error msg has changed, BTW.  Here it is with the omit-dga
commented out:

Xlib:  extension "XFree86-DGA" missing on display ":0.0".
XF86DGA{QueryVersion,QueryDirectVideo}() failed

Previously, I think only one of those failed.
