I'm running FreeBSD 4.0-Current on a Sony Z505S. The last time I cvsuped
and recompiled was May 22. I have no problems with my floppy.

relevant dmesg output:

On a completely different note: any one looking to add some memory to
their notebook, check out www.crucial.com

I ordered a 128MB SODIMM for my Z505S (for a total of 192MB) for
$113.39 US (plus $15 US for Fedex to Canada). I ordered it Friday morning,
the emailed me a shipping confirmation by Friday evening and Fedex was at
my door Monday morning. Sorry to sound like a commercial, but I am a very
satisfied customer.
