Stupid question, but have you already upgraded to Gnome 2.9, or are you 
still on <=2.8? I don't see any mention in your mails about having 
upgraded already. I'm assuming you still need to use the 
gnome_upgrade.sh script first.

Oh, and the correct URL for the DevelFAQ is 
http://www.freebsd.org/gnome/docs/develfaq.html. There's a note in there 
about nautilus-media being deprecated.
