	Just checked, and no, I don't have a /dev/midi.
	Looks like I don't have a /dev/snd0, either.  I
	do have the NAS stuff working; I thought that 
	NAS used snd0.  (?)

	All right.  That MAKEDEV created several devices.
	But ``playmidi -f <file>'' still gives me that
	same error message.  Do I need to reconfigure the
	kernel setup and rebuild?  Or reboot??
