If he's getting connected ok to you, all he needed to do was give the ip address of your DNS server, to be able to find ftp.freebsd.org. Have you tried resolving ftp.freebsd.org with nslookup (or just ftp'ing from a machine of yours?) Paul. -- Blue skies and all that.
