I've used the WaveLAN cards with 3.x without any problems. They use the wl device and work nicely. The configuration interface can be a little odd, the wlconfig utility seems to not always correctly read the current setup from the card, but it will write the right settings. The cards I had were just on loan for doing internet broadcasts from live events a few blocks away. Providing you've got line of sight and the right aerials they'll go a long way. I'm currently playing with Proxim wireless networking devices which are even more fun (and higher bandwidth), they come with an ethernet interface so setup is a breeze. -- C.
