Hi,

I am currently working on a port which needs the perlscript help2man
during build. Unlike other ports (e.g. recode) this script is not part
of the tarball.

This GPLed perlscript is available via ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/help2man/.

There are currently two versions called help2man in the STABLE Branch,
but they are both part of different packages under /usr/src/contrib

/usr/src/contrib/gperf/doc/help2man
/usr/src/contrib/texinfo/doc/help2man

They are both not on the most recent version 1.25.

I wonder if there should be an own port or directory under
/usr/src/contrib. That would be much more consistent.

I haven't found anything about this with google or Mailnglistsearch.
..So I am asking YOU for your opinion.

Regards

arved
