I said it before and I'll say it again... :-) ${DISTFILES} should not be a directory, it should be a path. Make its default value something like: /usr/local/ports/distfiles:/usr/ports/distfiles:$HOME/distfiles You're good at munging through paths in Makefiles, Satoshi! :-) Jordan
