in /usr/ports/devel/doxygen
make rmconfig-recursive
then make install clean

went back to /usr/ports/x11-wn/xfce4
and make install clean
seems to be building again, continuing on... not sure at the moment why it
got stuck. :) maybe I should have tried the binary install first!
