In terms of compilers (ie C/C++) or interpreter(perl, shells) what
can be considered to be always or at least usually be included in
FreeBSD? As part of a minimal install is Perl included?

I am asking because I am thinking of creating some (very simple)
scripts/programs to aid in installation/day to day use of FreeBSD.
