We have two FreeBSD 2.1.5 machines, both with SCSI controllers, and two
different DAT tape drives, and we can't get any of the machines to run in
a stable manner.

SCSI controllers
	AHA2842 ahc0: <Adaptec 284X SCSI host adapter> at 0x1c00-0x1cff irq 11
	AHA1522 aic0 at 0x140-0x15f irq 12 on isa
	AHA1522 aic0 at 0x340-0x35f irq 11 on isa

SCSI DAT drives
	ARCHIVE Python 28388-XXX 4.98" type 1 removable SCSI 2
	WangDAT Model 3200 02.2" type 1 removable SCSI 2

We have tried both DAT drives on both controllers. Both DAT drives are
external, and we've tried different terminators, different cables, etc.
The AHA2842 has an internal HD, so isn't terminated when we try this, and
the AHA1522 is for the tape drive only, so is terminated.

In the case of the AHA2842, backing up causes spontaneous reboots. In the
case of the 1522, it causes the machine to hang. I can ping it or switch
vt's, but nothing else.

The 2842 is only used on one machine, a 486DX4/120 w/VLB. The 1542 has
been tried in a P90/PCI and a 386DX/ISA, with the same results.
