Is ioctl enough to get information about the tcp_status, tcp_ttl etc? After all what is ndd doing? I am asking because i'd like to be able to get info about tcp, udp protocols. And something else:Suppose i create a packet(icmp) and i want to trasmit it through the network device. How is this possible? With openeing a raw socket? (I am asking not only for FreeBSD, but for other unix-like operating systems) Thank you very much.
