To comment myself, just tried libthr and it seems to get stuck on umtx 
fairly easily and the application just sits idle. I just libmap.conf:ed 
pthread->thr. Average lifetime was around five seconds before it hung. 
On libpthread the same piece of software runs for months uninterrupted.
