i have a brand new t40p, purchased with winxp. i called support
about the getting the winxp cd-roms. they said no problem. we
talked a bit and i made clear i needed winxp installs, not
something that would wipe my disk drive, i.e., the standard
recovery. i got a four disk set and they all seem to be part of a
full wipe-your-drive recovery set.

the problem is i need to pick some dlls from a winxp distro so a
winxp guest under vmware3 uses apm not acpi (see vmware hints
somewhere on the vmware site).

specifically, what do i ask ibm support for? got a part number?
