You can perl Makefile.PL PREFIX=${PREFIX}, but that won't
completely help because ExtUtils::MakeMaker can't handle
FreeBSD's perl filesystem layout (it also can't handle
the default filesystem layout that you get by installing
perl in the "standard" way, but it breaks worse with
FreeBSD's).  Someone has to fix ExtUtils::MM_Unix .
