1. we are telnetting to ip address, not hostname.

2. our firewall in mainrouter is turned on rc.conf but defaulting in 
MAINROUTER kernal cofnig to "pass any to any" for time being.

3. tcp_extensions are off

4. the pb exists between the two directly connected fbsd machines, with NT 
out of the loop.
